Big Damn Heroes
I’m feeling rather proud of myself right now.

Today I was bored at school, so to pass the time, I decided to make a list of every video game I’ve ever played. The answer is a lot.

I think I’ve thought of all the games I’m going to think of, so the final count is:

Number of games I’ve beaten: 32

Number of games I’ve started but still need to finish: 26

Other Miscellaneous Games (games I started and didn’t like enough to finish, or games that don’t have an end, such as Minecraft, the Sims, or Tetris): 45

There are also several games that I know I left off the list because I know I won’t be able to remember all the games in that particular category (stuff like the little kiddie games I used to play on Neopets like Meerca Chase and Turmac Roll. I’ll never be able to remember every game I ever played on Neopets, so I didn’t include any of them on the list). I also didn’t include arcade games like Pacman and Space Invaders, even though I’ve played both of those.

Final Count: 103 games

I know the real number is more than that, but the other games that I’ve played don’t matter enough to me to feel bad about not being included in the final tally. I just… feel… really satisfied right now. Like, making this list just put me in a really good mood.

I also made a list of games I haven’t played yet, but would like to in the future, and there are 33 games on that list. I’m really ridiculous, I know. I just… I really love video games, okay?

I REGRET NOTHING.

Saints Row is too ridiculously fun, help.

I just went on a mission that involved me driving around the city with a tiger in my car. Actually, that was it. The mission was literally to drive around with a tiger in my car. Afterwards, my character went to the guy that sent her on the mission and this exchanged happened:

My character: -storms through the front door- A fucking tiger?!

Angel: You’ve learned to face your fears.

My character: A FUCKING TIGER?!

Angel: If you’re going to face Killbane, you need to be ready for anything. Call me if you want more training.

My character:

Damn, and they were doing so well.

So far I’ve completely fallen in love with every character in my party almost instantly. I thought maybe this would be one of those rare games where everyone in the cast is amazing and you can’t hate anyone because they’re all too wonderful.

But I fucking hate Flynn Scifo.

And I’m so disappointed. After the way everyone kept talking him up, and the way I’ve loved every other character in the game so far, I thought I would like him for sure. But he’s just an obnoxious asshole. Somebody please tell me he gets better?

So I was struggling with this boss battle in Tales of Vesperia…

It took me so many tries to beat this thing, I had to do a bit of leveling up, and when I finally beat it, my team was in pretty bad shape. After the battle, this happened:

Karol: What was that about? It hardly even put up a fight!

Hardly.

Even.

Put up.

A fight.

FUCK. YOU. KAROL.

(I’m taking this as a sign that I need to do some leveling up.)

I am totally cosplaying as Rita at my next convention.

I literally JUST met her, and have known her for five minutes, and I am already completely in love with her. GOD. WHY ARE ALL OF THE CHARACTERS IN THIS GAME SO FANTASTIC?

Just have to say: Repede… Coolest. Dog. Ever. I want a dog with a huffy attitude that smokes a pipe and fights with a sword.

Also, I just want to say how hilarious I find it that the main character’s name is Yuri Lowell, when my favorite voice actor is Yuri Lowenthal. If only they had cast Yuri Lowenthal as the main character. Oh well, he voiced Luke in Tales of the Abyss, so I guess it would be silly for him to be the main character in two games from the same series.

I just started playing Tales of Vesperia.

It’s… really good so far. I’m not even that far, but I’m really loving it, possibly more than Tales of the Abyss. Estelle might be the most adorable thing I’ve ever seen. Although, I’m noticing that Bandai really likes the whole “naivety caused by being locked in a castle and never seeing the outside world” perspective. Anyway, I’ll probably be posting a lot about the game as I progress through it, because I can already tell I’m going to enjoy it a lot, and when I enjoy things a lot, I tend to talk about them endlessly. JUST THOUGHT I’D SHARE.
